CIT conducts extensive research on the markets where we are active and those we're considering entering. We do so both as a service to our investors and as part of our ongoing due diligence.
Understanding the risk inherent in any market is crucial because our approach to investment is market led, then asset specific. So before we consider the attributes of an individual asset, we must first be enthusiastic about the dynamics of its location. This includes making sure the economic fundamentals are strong, transparency is adequate and liquidity is robust.
Our research function is run from our head office in The Bahamas and coordinated with the various asset management offices. It comprises a team of six analysts, plus further input from senior acquisition directors.
